Public Meeting about Stormwater Runoff into Tookany & Frankford Creeks

Staff from Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Philadelphia Water Department and Montgomery County Officials will address the stormwater issues affecting the Tookany & Frankford Creeks.

The meeting is to be held on: Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brickley United Methodist Church - Chelten Ave & 6th Street.

Who is on the Commission?

Nancy Goldenberg (Chair) is the Vice President of Planning for the Center City District and founder of the Philadelphia Outward Bound Center.

Debra Wolf Goldstein, Esq. is the president of Conservation Matters, LLC, a legal and consulting firm with a focus on land conservation issues.

Jeffrey Hackett is the president of the Helen G. Sturgis Advisory Board, on the Executive Board of the Melrose Park Gardens Civic Association.

Pete Hoskins is the interim Executive Director of the Friends of Laurel Hill Cemetery and the former Director of Fairmount Park.

Leslie Anne Miller is active in a number of community organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors of the Fairmount Conservancy and on the Executive Committee of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.

Carol Rice is retired from the Department of Recreation and currently serves as the Chairman of the Warrington Township Park and Recreation Board.

Carlos Rodriquez is the President of Puerto Rico Stars, which offers free baseball clinics to youth in North Philadelphia each spring, among other programs.

Sarah Clark Stuart is Campaign Director at the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia and co-coordinator of the Schuylkill River Park Alliance.
